PAID ONLINE
In the console space, Microsoft were the first ones to ask for money for online play. When they did it the first time, people obviously didn’t take kindly to it, but with Sony and Nintendo also having followed in their footsteps over the years, it’s now become standard practice, more or less. That’s a real bummer, because there’s no real reason to offer online play, especially when you see the likes of Steam and Epic Games Store on PC being free online platforms. Recent rumours indicated that Xbox Live Gold would be going away, but Microsoft have since then shot those rumours down, so sadly, for now, it seems like we’re going to have to continue to play games online.
