The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are still incredibly hard to find, and that started before both even launched. Notably, the PS5’s pre-order situation was a bit of a disaster, and in spite of saying that they would announce the date for pre-orders of PS5 well before they went live, Sony ended up giving you just 24 hours to prepare- and some retailers ended up breaking even that embargo. Microsoft, meanwhile, announced theirs well ahead of time, and in a tweet confirming these timings, they couldn’t resist a small dig at Sony’s handling of the PS5 pre-order situation either.
