Nioh 2 refines the original’s formula, adding new Yokai Shift forms, abilities, enemies and weapon types into the mix. As such, combat remains as compelling as ever with chaining together abilities and managing one’s stamina. The visuals have been bumped up significantly and the boss fights remain absolutely brutal. Again, nothing revolutionary over the original but still one of the best hack and slash RPGs available.
