UNCHARTED AS METROIDVANIA
Imagine this. You’re playing Uncharted, and you find yourself in a large, open environment- but it’s not completely open to you right from the get go. There are roadblocks that you need to get around. There’s a wall you can scale, but you don’t have the equipment you need to do it. There’s a chasm you need to get across, but you don’t have a hookshot that will let you do that. Maybe scattered across this map, there are various tombs, temples, and ruins, and completing these platforming, puzzle, and combat challenges will reward you with items that you can then use to get across those previous roadblocks. A metroidvania Uncharted is an out-of-left-field pick for sure, but if you think about it, it could actually work rather well.
