Despite being an RPG pioneer, the first Fallout’s companion AI was ludicrously bad. Dogmeat is just as suicidal here as in the contemporary games. Your allies will often shoot you accidentally-on-purpose, refuse to wear armour given to them, shoot vital mission critical NPCs, the list goes on. Never give them burst weapons either. You’ll thank us later.
