KILLZONE 3
Until 2017’s Horizon: Zero Dawn, Guerrilla Games weren’t really known for being very good storytellers- but of all the disappointing stories they had put out until that time, Killzone 3 is perhaps the most disappointing. Its setting saw its protagonists stranded on a hospitable and harsh planet, surrounded by deadly enemies and with next to no backup. It was a setting that they could have done a lot with, while seeing how the Helghast regroup after Visari’s death was also something that could have been very interesting. Sadly, Killzone 3, much like its predecessors, squanders the potential of its narrative setup.
