3. Metal Gear Solid – Metal gear REX
Another entry deserving mention from the Metal Gear Solid series is Metal Gear REX. The sheer size of the bipedal rocket wielding metal giant that had the capability of levelling cities was enough to make us think well more than twice before approaching it.
While you’re busy duelling with REX, Fox shows up and helps us out a bit. And by helping out, we mean he sacrifices himself to render a component of the REX unusable. A sacrifice should never go in vain. Bearing the tormenting memories of a friend getting crushed to death, Snake sets down to level REX to a pile of junk. Seeing the metal behemoth riddled with blasts is gratifying, but the cost of it too high.
