Sarah Kerrigan’s Upbringing – StarCraft
Kerrigan’s story began with her unintentionally killing her mother and inflicting brain damage on her father in her childhood due to her psychic powers. She was then “trained” as a ghost by the Confederacy, which is a nice way of saying she was mentally tortured and experimented on until she killed without remorse. After a series of xenomorph experiments, she would be rescued by the Sons of Korhal, a rebel group led by Arcturus Mengsk (whose father was killed by Kerrigan under orders of the Confederacy). Everything seemed to be going fine – she even found a friend in Jim Raynor – until Mengsk proved to be just as bad, if not worse, than the Confederacy. On a mission in Tarsonis, Mengsk would betray Kerrigan, leaving her for dead as hordes of the Zerg converged on her. From there began her transformation into the Queen of Blades and leading the Zerg, which is another story entirely.
