Goro Majima’s Past – Yakuza 0
Goro Majima joined the yakuza from a fairly young age and while loyal to the Tojo Clan, he’s devoted to his oath brother Taiga Saejima. The two were meant to carry out a hit to help the clan but Majima receives a call to abandon the job. Not willing to betray Saejima, he’s attacked, has his eye gouged out and is imprisoned in “the hole” for a year by Futoshi Shimano. Despite all of this, he doesn’t break and is released into civilian life to pay off 100 million yen to clan by managing the Grand. At some point, Majima married but subsequently left his wife after she aborted his child. All of this is before Majima’s mission in Yakuza 0 and eventual transformation into the Mad Dog of Shimano.
