Final Fantasy 13-2
Final Fantasy XIII-2, like most games involving time warping and timelines, is a hopeless mess of contradictions. After the dozens of hours needed to reach the ending, Serah and Noel manage to kill the villain and fix the timeline, but quickly realize that they played into his hands and led him into great power. The journey to find Lighting wasn’t wrapped up and Serah dies having failed in her goal. Way to wrap up such a lengthy RPG, by wasting everybody’s time.
