THE ENDING
One of the many, many things that helped The Last of Us immediately shoot into the stratosphere was its bold, impactful ending- but if game testers had had their way, that ending would never have made it into the game. That’s because during development, most focus testers told Naughty Dog that they hated the ending, and though there were some in the development team who wondered if that called for a change, creative director Neil Druckmann decided to ignore that particular piece of feedback and went with the ending he had envisioned anyway.
