The DualShock Buttons
The DualShock controller is considered one of the greatest console controllers ever made but have you ever wondered what its various symbols mean? As it turns out, they were designed for specific purposes X and O were to mean no and yes for playing games while Triangle was to trigger perspective changes. Finally, Square was meant for accessing menus or maps. It wouldn’t be long before most developers abandoned these button guidelines though.
