Dom Finds Maria – Gears of War 2
In the first Gears, we hear about Dom’s wife Maria and how much he loves her. In Gears of War 2, the man is constantly worried, especially since Maria has gone missing (and the two have been through enough tragedy already). So when exploring the underground depths of the Nexus Highway and venturing into a Locust prison camp, there was some elation to see Dom finally reunited with Maria. Sadly, this revelation turned to horror as Maria was revealed to be severely tortured and left in a vegetative state, leading to Dom euthanizing her.
