Mini shoot ‘em up Velocity harkens back to the good old days of Atari but with a twist of modern innovation making it feel right at home on Sony’s handheld. Here, players navigate a teleporting Quarp Jet through labyrinthine time and space, dropping bombs and blasting enemy spacecraft. However, despite its brevity developer FuturLab opted to pack in a ton of ideas which slowly unfurl as you progress; new obstacles, puzzle mechanics, and ship powerups ensured Velocity never felt repetitive.
