This pint-sized prequel to Silent Hill follows trucker Travis Grady into the eponymous fog-strewn town in search of information surrounding a girl whom he rescued from a fire, uncovering all sorts of tragic childhood memories he’d long since supressed in the process. Silent Hill: Origins follows the series’ established rulebook closely, but developer Climax Action’s deftness at bringing Silent Hill’s atmospheric qualities to a portable format was certainly impressive, and Origins ranks as one of the best entries in the franchise.
