The Ones Who One-Shot You
The best enemy encounters happen when both the player and their nemesis are on a level playing field, and one is able to quickly dispatch as soon as the other lowers their guard. However, when this playing field becomes wildly unbalanced on account of one being able to instantly dispatch the other – the encounter can turn into a maddening exercise in pain. These types of enemies are usually prevalent in stat-driven RPGs, although most Souls games have one or two such types of enemies present in the starting area as well.
