GOD OF WAR REVEAL – E3 2016

God of War was in the worst shape of its life until not too long ago, with 2013’s Ascension having proved beyond doubt that the series’ formula was wearing thin. It was clear that it needed to shake things up big time if it were to remain relevant. In June 2016, at Sony’s E3 show, the series returned with a bang. Preceded by an impressive live orchestra performance, Sony immediately opened the show with a reveal trailer and gameplay demonstration for God of War- and it. Was. Perfect. It looked different, new, fresh, and exciting, and yet it still looked very much like God of War. It looked, in short, like exactly the shot in the arm the series needed.
