#14. THANATOS- GOD OF WAR: GHOST OF SPARTA

God of War: Ghost of Sparta was brimming with memorable boss fights, but the final encounter against Thanatos, the God of Death himself, has to be the very best. As a boss fight itself, its strengths lay in just how frigging cool and how cinematic it was, but it was good for so many other reasons- most of all, because of the context that lay behind it. Seeing Kratos finally meeting up with his long-lost brother and then seeing the two of them work together to kill Thanatos was incredibly satisfying, making for an excellent payoff to a brilliant game.
