#13. HERMES- GOD OF WAR III

If you only look at the actual one on one combat betwen Kratos and Hermes in isolation, it isn’t all that special. Sure, it looks great and visceral, and the QTEs are, in true God of War fashion, really good as well, but it’s nothing special as a boss encounter. It’s when you look at the entire encounter against Hermes as a whole that you truly start to appreciate it for how good it is. The chase leading up to the actual fight is amazing, while having the chance to rip off Hermes’ legs and then steal his boots is just icing on the cake.
