Mass Effect
The game starts with Commander Shepard peering at the stars from before mankind’s space exploits in the future are briefly explained. Shepard explores the ship, meeting its pilot Joker and learning more about the journey. A Prothean beacon was discovered on the planet and Nihlus, a Spectre, accompanies the crew while also evaluating Shepard. It’s not long before a distress call comes in. Shepard and a small squad venture to the surface to retrieve the beacon, fighting off Geth and encountering Ashley Williams before learning more about the Reapers, Saren and what’s to come.
