Lords of the Fallen 2023
Many games that tried to capture soulslike feel were released in the past but were not successful in what they were trying to do, but Lords of the Fallen 2023 rights most if not all of those wrongs. The game impresses with its intuitive dual-world system and solid combat design, but it’s also equally great with regards to the visual presentation. The art direction is spectacular, and it’s all beautifully brought to life through the use of Unreal Engine 5. The computationally taxing effects can take a nasty hit in terms of performance, but that’s a small price to pay for existing in such a fantastical world.
