Returnal is all about working your way through the same realms as you try to break the time loop, so it’s important that these environments that you frequent so often should be visually appealing. The planet of Atropos is rendered with a lot of attention to detail, and the unique architecture of the alien species combined with the flora and fauna of this alien world adds so much appeal to these surroundings. Returnal also utilizes a ton of lighting and particle effects in its combat, which also impresses with its consistent level of quality.
