WEDGE IS STILL ALIVE

It’s not just Biggs and (possibly) Jessie who have escaped certain death in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Wedge, who also died in the original game during the plate’s collapse, also survives the incident. While he does fall from the pillar like in the original, he’s only gravely injured, and while he is still in the Sector 7 slums when the plate collapses, Cloud, Barret, and Tifa later go back for him and rescue him. He even shows up at the end during their infiltration of Shinra HQ to help them out from the sidelines. That said, the Whispers do try to ensure that he once again falls to his death toward the end of the game, but we don’t actually see him die on screen- his fate is still very much up in the air. We’re willing to bet he’s still alive.
