METRO EXODUS’ EPIC GAMES STORE CONTROVERSY
We could have populated this entire list with a dozen examples of games declaring exclusivity to the Epic Games Store and kicking off furious controversies, but let’s go with the biggest of them all- Metro Exodus, which would define most similar controversies for the rest of the year. After already being announced as a Steam game and having been up for pre-orders on Steam for a while, Deep Silver declaring exclusivity to the EGS ruffled a lot of feathers, and the game itself garnered a fair bit of bad press as a result.
