Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Amnesia The Dark Descent_Shadow

In 2010 when Resident Evil was veering ever more towards action and Silent Hill was trying to find its footing, Frictional Games released Amnesia: The Dark Descent. A first person title that focused more on psychological terror, an atmosphere of dread, and utilizing stealth and running to overcome terrors, it was a glorious throwback to the days of survival horror. Would you venture through this mysterious mansion as the amnesiac Daniel and learn more about the nightmares that haunted you? Or die trying? For an indie horror title at the time, it was truly something special.
