The set up for I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, based off of Harlan Ellison’s short story of the same name, sounds like a demented sitcom. What happens if a supercomputer AI decimated all of humanity and tortured five people for all of eternity? Developed by Cyberdreams and The Dreamers Guild with Ellison himself working on the narrative, this adventure title presented a mix of ethical dilemmas and quandaries with its multiple playable characters. Surreal, challenging, frustrating and very disturbing, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is still a horror classic.
