Most Console Gamers Are Kids and Males
The stereotype of most console owners either being kids, that too primarily males, is more or less dead at this point. Some studies, like the Pew Research Center survey from 2015, showed that 42 percent of console owners in the United States were female. An ESA report in the same year also found the average age of female gamers was 43 years while the average male gamer age was 35 years. Kids definitely play video games but there are a lot more adults than you’d think.
