Mercenaries

This one is a bit tough because the Mercenaries series is renowned for its freedom of choice and destructive sandbox. Still, a new title could offer the same degree of sandbox freedom with more impactful decisions and branching storylines. It doesn’t need the largest world but instead encourages players to try new things in a new playthrough and see everything that it has to offer. Throw in a solid destruction system for experimentation and it could work.
