There’s a lot to love about Horizon Forbidden West, and we’ve spoken about it plenty over the last few days, from its incredible open world to the mechanical beasts you face in combat, and so much more. Another aspect of the experience that stands out is the ridiculously obsessive attention to detail the entire game exhibits- which is doubly impressive because of the scale of the world. There’s no shortage of examples that illustrate that, and here, we’ll be taking a look at a few of them.
SAND
Arid deserts and sandy beaches are some of the many biomes in Horizon Forbidden West’s world, and like all other biomes, these have some key defining traits as well- some of which are, of course, not exactly the most prominent. Seeing Aloy walk through sand or large sand dunes, for instance, is oddly gratifying, in large part due to how the sand reacts to her (or even the wildlife) as she move through it.
