9. Phantom Dust

If you’ve never heard of Phantom Dust, don’t feel bad. It’s kind of an obscure IP. The game was released on the original Xbox, and was well-received critically, but nobody bought it. As time went on, the game went on to become something of a cult classic, and now, more than ten years later, we’re getting a remake. Phantom Dust revolves around skill based combat. You start with four random skills, and more can be acquired from nearby environmental locations. The goal is to use them to deplete your opponent’s health. It’s kind of a hard game to describe, and the trailer fails to capture the intricacies of the combat system, but it’s still an exciting development, especially for fans of the original.
