Contra 4 took a fairly straightforward approach to its final boss Black Viper. If you didn’t play on Normal or Hard difficulty, the game would end without a final boss fight. In fact, text cards will pop up stating, “You’ll never see the ending on Easy! Try playing on a higher difficulty for a real Contra experience!”
