Speaking of mind-blowing remakes of classic survival horror titles- the much more recent Silent Hill 2 deserves a place on this list for a lot of the same reasons. The 2001 original is still a masterpiece, of course, but Bloober Team’s remake blows expectations out of the water. Touting captivating storytelling, eyepopping graphics, instantly foreboding atmosphere, and strong design from the get-go, the game is firing on all cylinders from beginning to end.
