The survival horror genre has been growing in popularity as of late, and the hype for new and exciting games built around the premise of a zombie apocalypse wouldn’t probably die out any time soon. On the flip side, a ton of promising horror/zombie games are on the horizon – and here are 15 such games that you should keep an eye out for:

Dying Light 2: Stay Human

Developer Techland delivered an excellent open-world survival horror experience in the form of 2015’s Dying Light, which combined horror elements with an excellent traversal system – creating for a fun yet horrifying experience through and through. The developer is back at it once again with Dying Light 2: Stay Human, which sees players surviving a zombie outbreak in the fictional environment called The City. The combat looks brutal in the best ways possible, and there are more options than before to get around the bigger environments. Wrapping it all up is a new narrative, which also looks really ambitious for the game’s framework. Dying Light 2: Stay Human releases for all major consoles and PC on February 4th, 2022.
