Much like Mass Effect, Splinter Cell is yet another promising franchise that once soared high as an eagle but fell down into a hole once later entries didn’t reach their projected profits. After a decade-long hiatus, the franchise is getting a second shot at life with a full-fledged remake of the first game. The project is being helmed by Ubisoft Toronto, and the game will bring a bunch of major visual and gameplay overhauls all in an effort to modernize this stealth classic. The developer also confirmed that it wouldn’t be turning Splinter Cell into yet another open world franchise, so that’s a big relief as well.
