Isn’t it fun to have bosses with fail states? These aren’t like quick-time event bosses or insta-kill attacks. Instead, you could be progressing through the entire fight smoothly and when the boss is on its last legs, it goes into a final stand of sorts. If you don’t deal enough damage in this phase, you’re dead and the fight starts again. Destiny 1’s Aksis and Oryx, Destiny 2’s Calus and we’re sure a number of other MMO bosses are annoying in this regard.
