DEATH STRANDING
An open world that is as inherently empty and barren as the one in Death Stranding shouldn’t really work as well as it does, but once again, the creative genius of Hideo Kojima shines through. Asynchronous multiplayer mechanics have been used in impressive fashion in many games over the last decade, but Death Stranding is perhaps the best example. Experiencing the effectiveness of collaborative action in this game as players work together to transform what starts out as a desolate, inhospitable world will never cease to amaze us.
