With the clock ticking down to Marvel Rivals’ imminent launch, NetEase Games has been revealing new details at a steady clip, having filled out the hero shooter’s roster with recent reveals for Wolverine, Black Widow, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and more. On top of that, the developer has also revealed a couple of exclusive cosmetics that only the game’s PS5 player base will be able to get their hands on.

In a PlayStation Blog post, NetEase Games has revealed that the PS5 version of Marvel Rivals will allow players to unlock an exclusive Scarlet Spider cosmetic for Spider-Man, which will boast “intricate noir threading and scarlet mask.”

On top of that, PlayStation Plus members will also get access to another bonus Venom-themed cosmetic for Peni Parker. Producer Stephen Wu wrote, “Don a menacing mech suit complete with your name card that is sure to make your enemies tremble, shake up your spray can to mark your victories and embody the essence of Venom throughout your gameplay and don’t forget to strike a pose with when inevitably getting the MVP with your dedicated animation! As if it couldn’t possibly get any better, you’ll also get Season Pass tokens when you claim the pack!”

While platform-exclusive content in a multiplatform game (especially a multiplayer one) can always ruffle some feathers, we’ve certainly come a long way from a time when, say, the entirety of Marvel Avengers’ Spider-Man DLC was exclusive to PlayStation. In comparison, this is definitely much more palatable.

NetEase Games has also revealed Marvel Rivals’ performance and resolution targets on PS5 and PS5 Pro. Read more on that through here.

Marvel Rivals is out on December 6 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
