FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE
Final Fantasy as a series has been trying to find the right balance between turn-based combat and action combat ever since FF12, and with last year’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake, it finally landed on the perfect formula. The combat system here toes the line between adrenaline-fueled action and on-the-fly tactics almost perfectly. Constantly switching between characters in your party and using their ATB gauge at the right time to unleash the perfect attacks disguises what is essentially a turn-based system in a real-time action game ingeniously. The end result is probably the best Final Fantasy combat system to date- which is really saying something.
