Sonic Free Riders

As if it sent Terminators to the future to analyse the horrible games it would soon make, Sega can indeed make things worse. There’s a special circle of Hell reserved for the exact members of Sonic Team that conceptualized, created and marketed this game. If it weren’t dumb enough that the fastest hedgehog alive is racing others on a hover-board, the controls and mechanics are so piss-poor as to dissuade even the most seasoned veterans from taking part.

An arcade racer that somehow hates casual fans would seem far-fetched but then, so was the thought that Sega could consistently make terrible Sonic games. Kinect support is also featured – and if Microsoft had properly showcased the same, backing Sonic Free Riders all the way, we highly doubt the Kinect would even be alive today.
