The Killing Joke – Batman: Arkham City
The Joker has pulled off some pretty crazy nonsense over the years. In Arkham City, he imbibes Batman with his own infected blood, pushing the Dark Knight to find a cure before it’s too late for both of them. In the end, with Talia Al’Ghul dead, Clayface dead and Batman cured, our hero ruminates on the endless cycle that the Joker perpetuates. Rather than trusting that Batman would cure him, the Joker stabs him, causing the remaining cure to be destroyed. As the Joker lays there haplessly, Batman responds that he still would’ve saved him despite everything that happened. Of course, the Joker had his last laugh in the very end.
