Enhanced stealth
Stealth is going to play a much larger role in Breath of the Wild than Zelda fans are used to, and it’s going to be backed by mechanics dedicated solely to stealth-based gameplay. For example, enemies will now react to sound. Enemies will have alert statuses, which will be indicated by icons similar to what Metal Gear fans might be familiar with. They will investigate sound, which you can keep track of with the sound meter. You can even sneak up on enemies and go in for a stealth kill.
