The year has only just begun, but the roster of upcoming shooters looks very promising. Whether you’re a fan of third-person Souls-like shooters, first-person shooters with action RPG mechanics and loot, or remakes of beloved titles, there’s plenty to look forward to.

Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart

Mundfish’s action RPG/FPS combines an alternate history setting with its trippy retro futuristic art style, killer robots and pseudo-immersive-sim gameplay. As agent P3, it’s your job to investigate facility 3826, a scientific hub whose robots have gone out of control. Armed with firearms, melee weapons and a polymer glove, you’ll encounter all kinds of horrors while utilizing the environment and abilities to take them down. Atomic Heart launches on February 21st for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
