Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain’s fulton system is absolutely genius. There’s so much nuance to it- what amount to upgrades for your abilities can be earned not he field, but that involves a level of risk versus reward, as you try to isolate the enemy you want to fulton, and then knock them out instead of killing them. It’s another way the game subtly nudges you towards stealth and pacifism, which is something Kojima has always tried to encourage in all of his stealth games.
