Avowed is going to be Microsoft’s first major first-party release of 2025, and with the action RPG’s launch now just a handful of months away, in an Xbox Wire post, developer Obsidian Entertainment has shed light on what players can expect to see from its suite of accessibility features.

Though specific details on the full range of options hasn’t yet been detailed (that will likely come closer to launch), Obsidian has highlighted some of the main bullet points. That will include FoV options, being able to disable camera shake, adjusting subtitles and UI text, fully remappable controls, and more. Additionally, players will also be able to choose between 12 languages for different dubs (though VO will only be available in English). You can find all the details below.

Meanwhile, as previously announced, Avowed will also feature a third-person camera option for those who wish to play it that way.

Obsidian has additionally also revealed the game’s minimum PC requirements, and unveiled its Premium Edition, which will include up to five days of early access (among other bonuses).

Avowed launches on February 18 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Avowed accessibility features:

  • UI & Camera: Customize field of view, disable camera shake, toggle head bobbing, adjust camera sway.
  • Text & Subtitles: Adjust UI text size, subtitle text size, and subtitle background opacity for optimal readability.
  • Controls: Fully remappable controls with adjustable sensitivity for all analog inputs, enhancing gameplay comfort.
  • Languages: While all voice acting will be in English, at launch Avowed will be localized in 12 languages, including French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain and Mexico), Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
