Silent Hill 2
You’re likely familiar with Silent Hill 2’s story. Widowed James Sunderland receives a letter from his dead wife enticing him to visit the town in which they created so many memories. Bells and whistles prevalent in modern remake’s are here: over-the-shoulder cameras, an expanded location, evolved combat gameplay, and fresh licks of graphical paint are present and correct, but Silent Hill 2’s story is timeless, one of James’ decent through the murky recesses of his mind as he confronts forgotten guilt and shame.
