3. Metal Soundtrack
Nothing like good music to match the fire rate.
Well, okay. That’s more of a personal liking you may say, but think about it? While defeating hordes of feral demonic beasts would you rather be audience to their ear-piercing shrieking or some adrenaline pumping thrash metal or something some such?
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within had done a spectacular job of keeping the setting dark and sombre, but when it came to making the seen bloody (or sandy?), the music really pushed the player to take on the enemies. playing that game on mute makes a LOT of difference. Doom 4, I really wish you to have some frenzy inducing metal tracks; as do so many others.
