This is not part of any rant to put down any Call of Duty title or its followers. But the fact remains that lately, a lot of fans have fallen prey to attracting the fast paced shooter series’ fans to their games, and this practice has often resulted in new games turning out to be not what they were promised to be. Some elements of this effort to bring in the CoD-esque fast paced gameplay was seen even in Battlefield 4 and Halo 4 for that matter; even if it was ever so slightly.

The Doom series has a staggering foothold still in the game industry and there’s nothing worse to undermine that than the developers getting influenced by some other game.
