DIGLETT AND DUGTRIO (POKEMON)
Often people say that it’s best not to think about the critters we come across in the Pokemon games too much. But when you come across something like Diglett or its evolution Dugtrio, how can you not? What do they look like beneath the grounds? All we’ve ever seen of them is – well, let’s call them finger-like shapes (or three fingers, in the case of Dugtrio). But what are they under the ground? Do they have roots in the soil? Do they merge with the ground? Would they die if they are removed from the ground? And how have the entire world’s seismic plates not been completely destroyed if there are so many Digletts and Dugtrios out there burying their way through all of it?
