Okay, so maybe Still Wakes the Deep is highly rated, has decent sales, and is in the conversation for best horror game of the year so perhaps it shouldn’t appear on this rundown? It’s just… it still doesn’t feel as though Still Wakes the Deep got the recognition it deserved. For one, it’s a wholly unique setting – a rust-strewn oil rig isolated in the middle of the North Sea – but moreover it features a slew of relatable characters that are all superbly voice acted. If there’re ingredients that can plunge you believably into horror, it’s those.
