Dead Man’s Diary
Developer TML-Studios’ post-apocalyptic survivor game sought to combine a heartfelt narrative of contemporaries like The Last of Us with intense survival mechanics found in the likes of Subnautica. Unsurprisingly, Dead Man’s Diary failed to deliver on either of these fronts, which can be attributed to its conflicting mechanics and uninteresting narrative. Sure, the game does look gorgeous on a visual level – but that doesn’t take away from the many underwhelming mechanics surrounding the presentation.
